Here in the pages of this website you will find flies that imitate many of the prey species  taken by the fish many of us spend far too much time thinking about. It is my sincere hope that some of you will try this type of tying and take it to a new level. This is only the begining.

The Red Paper Wasp is one of my favorite ties. These members of the vespid family are relentless defenders of their nest with a very painful sting.

This photo shows the thread wraps in the construction of this fly. You can see what can be dome with deer hair thread and monofilament .  No modeling or sculpting.

One of my favorite things to do is to teach others to tie. This shot was taken at a clinic I taught for the local 4H fishing club.
